Week of December 6, 2010

Author of the month: Karma Wilson

Focus for the week ~ Letter Kk

Bible: "...he is Lord of lords and King of kings - and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers." Revelations 17:14

*K is for Kingsnake. Kingsnakes look scary but they are helpful because they eat poisonous snakes and mice.

Phonics & Handwriting: Letter Kk - words that begin with Kk

Journal: Drawings of Kk words - Kites

Math: Coin poem; Writing numbers; Paying for items to 10 cents using pennies; Creating and reading an AABB color pattern

Centers: Kitchen play (the kids loved decorating & playing in the cardboard house); Decorating presents with tissue paper; Acts of Kindness - we're spelling out the word JOY (we earn a letter each day everyone stays on green or silver star)

Creative Movement (Monday): Letter Kk activities (King of the jungle)

Music (Tuesday): rehearse for Christmas Program

Spanish (Tuesday & Thursday)
