Focus for the week ~ Letter Ii

Bible: "...for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me." Isaiah 46:9b
*Ii is for Inchworm.
*We can measure the length, weight, height, and temperature of things using rulers, measuring tapes, scales, and thermometers.
*God's love is Immeasurable.

Phonics & Handwriting: Letter Ii - Words that begin with Ii

Literature: "Fish is Fish" and "Inch by Inch"

Journal: Drawings of our favorite kind of Ice Cream
(all the kids guessed who drew each one)

Math: Creating a real graph; Ordering objects by length; Measuring length using nonstandard units; Making an ABC pattern using pattern blocks

The Librarian for next week is ADIA. Please have her bring in show-and-tell item(s) that begin with Ff (our letter next week). Please also bring in an 8.5" x 11" sheet with "All about me" info that she can share with the class.
