*Zz if for Zorilla - animal that looks like a skunk but is smaller and has more stripes.
*God gave zorillas and skunks a way to warn us to stay away when they are feeling threatened.
*God warns us to stay away from harmful things as well.
Phonics & Handwriting: Letter Zz - Words that begin with Zz
Literature: "Color of His Own," "Alexander and the Wind-Up Mouse," and "An Extraordinary Egg"
Journal: Drawings of fire engines before visiting the Fire station and Zebras
Math: Making ABBC patterns; Counting as high as we can; Diving by sharing; Comparing numbers to ten
Centers: Zz handwriting, Zz book, lacing Zz letters, building fences and towers around our Zebras
The Librarian for next week is EMMA KATE. Have her bring in an 8.5" x 11" sheet with "All about me" info that he can share with the class.

Explorer Zone (Thursday): Learning to stand "choir-ready" on stage as they begin to learn singing their 3 songs for the musical
